SteriType medical keyboards set for display at IPS conference

SteriTouch will be presenting its brand new SteriType range of antimicrobial medical keyboards and mice at the South Wales IPS annual conference in Cardiff.

On Tuesday 27th June at Mercure Holland House Hotel, the “Great Expectations: Healthcare associated infections – reduction targets for Wales” event will see a varied programme along with an exhibition of innovative products.

This event will be of particular interest to any nurse or healthcare worker where Infection Prevention and Control is key within their role or setting, e.g. primary, secondary or independent care.

SteriType keyboards are washable and waterproof with an integral silicone cover to protect against the ingress of spills, dirt and moisture. All touchable surfaces including the cover contain SteriTouch antimicrobial protection, guarding against the growth of bacteria such as E.Coli, MRSA and Salmonella, making them ideal for environments such as hospitals, operating theatres and GP surgeries.

Chemical resistance data has proven the keyboard and cover can withstand harsh cleaning chemicals such as chlorine bleach, alcohol and methyl ethyl ketone, without affecting the antimicrobial performance.

SteriTouch is the leading UK brand in antimicrobial technology, with a global presence in healthcare. When SteriTouch additives are incorporated into a product, they create a permanent barrier against the growth of bacteria, biofilm and moulds. Used in wall coatings, patient lighting, tablet cases and hand dryers, SteriTouch technology offers an excellent additional measure to routine infection control; working 24/7 to resist the growth of microbes.
